Fantasising about Lumia Shrub Cocktails at Crown Metropol when I should be writing

As I've said (many) times before, I started blogging so I could practice writing but other stuff gets in the way.  Not all that life, work, kids etc stuff (that goes without saying), but I keep reading other people's blogs, window-shopping online and entering competitions.  So yeah, here's another I really, really, really would like to win.

It's an offer of a grownup weekend away where Mr Moneymaker and I could actually be in the same city at the same time (we have both been to Melbourne a couple of times but never together).  It's also a chance to catch up with my mate who moved there a year and a half ago.

I would like to imagine I'm one of these glamorous beings dancing away seductively without a hair out of place and sipping daintily from an exotic cocktail.  So I'm entering to win a weekend in Melbourne from Lumia Shrub Cocktail.  They gave me a long list of cocktails to choose what would be my favourite and I've gone with

White Peach MartiniRussian Standard Vodka shaken with Lemon Oleo Saccharum, vanilla and peach syrup, topped off with peach liqueur and cream.

Ticks all the boxes: Vodka, Vanilla, Peach and Cream.  Yup, I could definitely dip me lip in that!  OK, probably not daintily, more a cocktail guzzler here as I'm predictably taken in by the sweetness of cocktails and several may disappear before I realise I've taken in my quota of booze.  But I promise I'll still keep myself nice. :)

  2. I'm a complete sucker for cocktails. And yep, I do your trick too. How many units of alcohol are in a mojito, a cosmo and a margarita again? And if they are all consumed within one hour, when can I next drive a car? Good luck with the comp!

  3. Oh I hope you win! Cocktails just don't work for me for one reason. It hurts my feelings.

    1. As long as you've got other vices to get you through, eh?
